Do we have a discount with any auto haulers for HET members? If so who and a phone number. If not, is there a reliable one that you suggest? I have only shipped 2 cars and had trouble with both. One dripped on my white roof and needed to be repainted. And the other had many hidden costs, was late by a day, and said the damage to the doors side was there and had pictures to prove it. The pictures were taken after it was loaded. The owners pictures the day before the car left there showed no marks. We never collected a dime from either. How about enclosed hauling, Much better ? thanks.
Robert, since this is truely the "car of your dreams" use a closed trailer trucking company. I have used Diamond B out of Wyoming and Reliable Trucking with good results. There are many others, look for references--don't use the cheap Uship carriers, make sure they are reputable carry insurance, etc.
It will cost a little more, but piece of mind is well worth it...k
You might want to read the AACA's forum that deals with towing, for some recommendations (or at least warnings about bad haulers!)
I just hat two cars brought from VT to MN I asked a truck drive who brings loads to were I work if he new anybody who would get them and he said he would do it for me he went out of his way to get a load to were my car were and brought my cars back. when he got here he told me if I ever need a car moved from a place he dose not drive to he can post it on a forum called get it loaded .com he has done this for other people and they were very happy with the cost and time they got there cars no problems at all.
OK I found a company, very reputable 5 star co., and no complaints on the and after talking to the owner, we made this deal. I will fly to denver and rent a car one way to cheyenne, and meet the driver there as he has a load to pick up in Fort Collins already. We will meet at the owners body shop. I was able to have my car ride up top, since it is a classic, behind the cab and I can cover it too. Then, get this guys, I ride home with the driver who is a sportsman like me, and we will get along just fine. I buy him dinner on the trip and I get a free ride home with my car behind me, and pay them 50cents a mile. How is that one for luck. I am not taking my eyes off this baby for one minute from purchase to home. Thanks again 😉 to all the members that have been, and are still helping me, connect with my dream car and getting her home.
