I've tried several times to get information about a sheet metal piece at the front of the frame on my 53 Hornet. However, my posts keep getting shuffled over to the parts wanted page. So here goes again -

The piece is about 34" long and 5 1/2" wide, with a rolled flange on both front and back edges. It has two oval holes on each end for bolts and is attached to the underside of the frame with 4 heavy sheet metal screws. Mine is badly rusted and I want to replace it. I'm not sure of the specific name or part number but if anyone recognizes my description and has one they don't need, please let me know.

Thanks
Ed

You can make it out of light aluminum. I made mine. Walt.

I've seen some of the reproduction ones that Albright used to carry. Probably still has some. They were made by Perry Spring. Quality is excellent.
