Hi, awhile back there was a post about an ebay listing for a new production stainless steel strip that would join the two halves of the 1937 Terraplane hood. I think the original design was for a Mack truck or something, but it could be used on a '37. Unfortunately - now that I could use it - I cannot find the post. Does anyone recall this?
Thanks!

John

This information is from my notebook (listing all sorts of parts that fit the 1937's). I cannot vouch for its accuracy.

Mack #40-M12-P23100 hinge (this is probably obsolete by now, since the Mack trucks of the 1960's - 70's are antiques themselves). Also, this may be the "traditional replacement" that now has been proven to not fit!

MG TD and TC automobiles -- this was suggested in recent years. I don't know if it's been proven. Look for a British car repair shop in your area and see if they have a hood hinge hanging around that you can measure.

John - I tryed to use the Mack piece on my '37 Hudson it would not work. Not wide enough. I have heard that they would work on the earlier Hudsons. Norm
