Fred, I have been reviewing the files for the folks in the HET that have the 1912 Hudson's. I have found three different body styles that use SN in the 23 to 24 block and as you and Alex have said, I would expect that there were more of the roadsters (with doors) built than there were the speedsters.

Fred, Drop me an email at browniepetersen@reeadytek.net and I will send you a copy of an article that I am writing for your review and input.

I think you sent me an email before but I seem to have lost it.
Brownie

in Roster look up Peter Laughon in Calif.; he has a huge '13 6-40 tr. and either an '11 or a '12 & if a '12 then a model 33. It is restored, in GRO, and Pete's had it for decades, knows all about them.

Very interesting story of the John Price Mile a Minute roadster. Great story as I have followed Bonneville salt flat racing and talked to guys have been there. Bucket list for sure. I have forwarded some Hudson data to Alex Burr, as he is compiling more info on the Model 33. I think it is important to share this information as one day it may be lost from the private stashes.
Did contact Pete Laughdon and will send letter to ask a few questions. He has owned his Model 33 for 60 years!!!

Thanks again
F

Did talk to a member with Model 33 Touring and his does have a "dust pan" ( name from parts book) and in fact he ran his car in the garage for about 10 minutes after changing the oil and the motor started to overheat. I will be borrowing his to make a template. From the parts book it is noted that all models had 4 ea. dust pan locks but the R. and S.R. had 2 ea. locks. My question are there 6 ea. locks or only 2 ea.?

Looking at the "borrowed" dust pan from a touring Hudson which has 4 locks, it makes sense why there are only 2 ea. on the speed roadster. There is no room on side of frame to have 4 as steering box and spring are in way. I have made a dust pan and am getting it painted but seems to work and should do the job.

trial fit of front wheels. Have made a set of wheel clamps and bolts as the Hudson dealer seems closed for holidays. Will do the other front wheel and set car down as it has been waiting for over a year to be on the ground.

Just trying to put these videos on Hudson page. Have some more videos taken during build.
Now haw the car on the road but in shop to do brakes. Maybe this weekend will try a test run.
