Will any 1936-47 sump pan fit onto a 1939 straight 8 engine? Engine is going into a 1947 Hudson. The 1935 straight 8 sump pan on is not suitable, I assume due to different front end. Query is for a bloke who lives 400 miles from me so I can't compare his stuff with my 1946 straight 8. Any words of wisdom/voices of experience appreciated.

Interchange manual shows '37-'47 are interchangeable.
