Mike,

Looking to buy or just interested in how many are around?

If the former then I don't know however if the latter then there a number in the roster.

If you look on the left hand side of this window you will see a box called "Club Site".

In there at the bottom you can see "Find a Club Vehicle".

Click on this enter 1933 as the year and Sedan as the body type and a list of 80 vehicles will appear

Are you looking for all 1933 Hudson products or just 33 Hudsons. Last count I have heard for 1933 Hudsons was around 20 of any body style. They only produced around 2,500 Hudsons in 33 due to the depression and around 30,000 Terraplanes. So that count of 80 33 sedans is mostly comprised of Terraplanes.

Yes, do state more specifically which model you're looking for, and for what purpose you wish to know. (Do you need to look at one in order to restore your own? Are you looking to buy one? Or would you just like to see one "in the flesh"?)

If you are speaking of the 1933 full-sized Hudson (also called the "Pacemaker" model) sedan, Tom is right. There are about 20 of all body styles, known to exist -- the majority would be 4-door sedans.

If you are speaking of 1933 Terraplane sedans, there are probably quite a few still existing. The registrar for the '33 Terraplanes will have a better idea.

In our chapter (which takes in the Washington - Baltimore area), there are two 1933 Hudson (Pacemaker) 4-door sedans registered, both of them in very good condition, but not restored.

I have one stored in my garage for a friend. It is a 33H Pacemaker sedan with rear spare tire. It is in original condition nad not running at this time(eng is apart) and has been sitting since 1976.

Tom,

Do you have a picture of your car? It's pretty much the same as mine. 33H Pacemaker Standard 8.

I have a '33 Terraplane resto mod. Original metal body and frame with Scott's front end. Just curious if other '33 Terraplanes where out and about running around.

I just did a quick check and found about 160 1933's on our club's registry. I didn't note how many were sedans and how many were other body styles (but 4- and 2-door sedans would of course predominate). Of course, this listing represents a total accumulation over the years and some of these cars may no longer exist (or may no longer be owned by the people who registered them originally. So the number could be less than 160.

On the other hand, there are probably at least this many 1933 Terraplanes existing which are NOT on the list, since the list only consists of cars that have been reported to the registry keeper. I'm sure there are dozens more out there hiding in museums, barns, and garages, whose owners have neither joined the Hudson club, nor bothered to register their cars with the Club.

And this is a list only of 1933 Terraplanes. The 1933 Hudsons (full-sized) would be on another list.

You can check the list yourself if you're a Club member: just go to "Home" (at the horizontal bar menu above) and look for Vehicle Registries in the left margin. There is a breakdown for each registry grouping.
