Does anyone know if the body harness for a four door sedan is the same as used in a coupe. I am trying to avoid removing my harness and send it off to be copied and then having to wait for 6 weeks with my car sidelined. The body harness is the part that runs through the body to provide power to the rear lights, courtesy lamps in the back seat, overhead lights and the lights on door frame. Both Rhode Island and Narragansett have the model for the coupe. Rhode Island has one for the Hollywood. But neither of them have the model for a four door sedan. YnZ has one but a friend recently got a harness of theirs and it was not well done with several errors so I thought I would try one of the others.
If anyone knows it will save me a six to eight week period of down time. Thanks. Gary
All models from 1948 to 1954 has the harness going to the rear from the left cowl, up the left windshield post, up over the door or doors and must remove the headliner. No short cuts here. Walt.
I understand that. But is that harness the same for both the coupe and a sedan. If I order the one for the coupe I do not have to wait 6-8 weeks and I can drive it until the harness come in. I would just hate for it to come back with the wires not fitting correctly.
If you have signal lights make sure you tell them and if standard and overdrive or automatic. What year and model is your car? All take a different harness. 52 and 53 take a different harness, coupe and sedan. Need year and model number. Walt.
