I am impressed how the stuffing in the seats of our car can still be providing nourishment for a large colony of ants, 56 years after it was taken off the road. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRf3HI43hFA

WHEN ''BABY'' CAME HOME ( BABY=50 PACEMAKER CV) WE FOUND 14 BUSHELS OF NUTS ( MOSTY SHELLS),4 CHIPMUNKS ( ALL DEAD) A FEW OTHER DEAD THINGS THAT HAD BEEN EATEN BY OTHER THINGS A LOT OF SMALL BONES . THE CAR HAD VERY LITTLE FLOOR LEFT IN IT AND MOST OF THE ROOF BLEW OFF COMING HOME ON THE TRAILER ( JUST THE FABRIC) THE TRUNK WAS FULL OF SHELLS WHAT FUN WE HAD 😉

Paul, that's a treasure. My car was parked in 1961. When I got ahold of her last year I found plenty of nuts, dead wasps and wasps nests, there were some ants coming out from behind my rearview mirror, mice nests, but no mice. And then the maggots living in my driver's door. That was a surprise.
