Saving parts and selling them to help fund a future purchase sounds good to me.

Just joined up. I've been driving my modified 1952 Hudson Hornet nearly every day for the last 12 years. 175,000 miles. I also have an original 2 owner 1949 Business coupe and 1949 Commodore 6 convertible. I have had a classic car shop for the last 26 years. We buy sell and restore. I used to drive a different car every 6 months or so. Not lately. I bought the Hornet to resell and fell in love with the step downs. To me they have perfect body lines. I have OCD old car disease and don't want to be cured.
Regards,
Mark Campbell

Trevor I would be wary of that club president guy. I hear he is a bit of a hack! 😉

Aren't you a little rough on that guy? 😉 After all, most of us are 'not quite on an even keel' from having our heads under the hood and inhaling all those gas fumes so much...

Thanks Trevor. Good to hear. Glad you found your way here and we could get you on the site. Since we have a little bit more complicated process to get on, it takes a little more attention and it needs to be quick. With our generation, folks don't like to wait to get access. Our two step process sure confuses the spam guys. They don't have the time to first sign up and then create an account. Hopefully none of them do or we will have to get rid of the free account. So far it has done its job. Enjoy!

Glad to have you hear as well Larry. We are rehosting the open forum at forum.hetclub.org. This one is internal to the Club (and some Limited Access folks), but there was an overwhelming desire to keep the open one. Someday we probably will need to make some decisions about the two but for now we just wanted to preserve the content and the attendence.

Aaron

:cheer: Ralph, I'm glad you will be able to salvage something from that '55. I'm interested that you said you have a '27 Peerless. Andy Lemont in Kittery, Maine also has a '27 Peerless. You two ought to get together to discuss Peerlesses. Andy is a great guy.

Hello Geoffrey B.

Thank you for the message. I will most certainly look him up. I am currently offshore in the Gulf of Mexico on my drillship but should be back in Maine mid May.

We have another Perrless enthusiast; Ralph Cortonio also lives down-state near to Portland and in fact has, I believe, the most Peerless cars owned by one person.

Hey Ralph - I have some interesting memories of Bucksport - back in the early 60's I ran a 40 foot Coast Guard work boat and crew up the Penobscot working nav aids. Normally Southwest Harbor handled that part of the coast at the time - but they bent their 40 footer on a rock that jumped out in front of the boat one day. So they sent us up from South Portland. We spent about 3 weeks up there.
Before I moved down here to Memphis I lived in Kennebunk and am still a member of the New England Chapter.
Geoff is correct about Any Lamont - hell of a nice guy.

Hudsonly,
Alex Burr
