I have been through design and construction of an alternator bracket, its tensioning arm, and necessary wiring for this car.
It's wonderful experience and now that it's over, I enjoyed it, but I would have enjoyed it almost as much if someone who did it before me either offered drawings or hard parts for sale.
Now I'm convinced that I have to develop a Torrington needle bearing and modern lip seal(s) conversion for my water pump. I had bad experiences (of two different kinds) with one supplier's rebuilt water pumps. No more. I have a Model A Ford with a Torrington bearing on the fan, and it is uber trouble free for so many years I don't remember when I put it in.
Has anyone else redone one of the 1934 water pups to incorporate needle bearings and lip seals? If you have, what can you share?
