It is a Model 98 (verified by the serial number listed in the offer), similar to my 'Model 90', just longer.
Looks pretty rough - :woohoo:

Question: Is the 1939 Hudson 'Big Boy' pickup a 112?
The wheelbase is longer, so it isn't 112 inches, which is where the '112' comes from. Many of the lower budget or utilitarian Hudson vehicles in 1939 were based on the 112" wheelbase chassis. The 'Big Boy' has a 119" wheelbase, 7" longer than the 112.
Rating on the 'Big Boy' was 3/4 Ton, while the 112 was rated at 1/2 ton. Not sure why, other than for marketing. Also, the 112 came with a 175 cu in flathead six engine, while the 'Big Boy' got the larger 212 cu in engine.
However, the 'speedometer' indicates it is a '112'. So, I guess it is a "112
Big Boy"...
It does indeed look rough but even so ....
