Very Happy to get the Hudson home finally. The salvage yard where it has rested for the past 20 years is only about 2 miles from my house, but the owner had to go through the lien process to get the paperwork to be able to sell it to me. I guess it is a lot of work. I really appreciate him because he has a lot of cars and he could of done what so many yard owners have done over the years and scraped everything and retired with enough money to take away a lot of worries. I read that Fremans in Montana did just that a few months ago.
Tomorrow morning I am going to pull the spark plugs and start the rings soaking in Marvel Mystery.
Steve

You have a lift! I'm very jealous and am in a similar boat as you with my car. So far year and a half of ownership... 0 miles driven 🙂

Take something off... make it look like new... repeat many many times.... 🙂

Good luck and glad to see I'm not alone in tackling this kind of project.

Keep up the good work, Steve and post pics often.

Ray, no you are not alone. I spent 8 years every day working on mine before I drove it.

You are right Kerry. The only spots on the body I need to replace are the front 10 inches or so of the rockers and a spot near the rear fenders that was a dirt trap. I was unable to find 2 door rockers so I bought some made for a sedan and I should be okay since I only need a little off the leading end.

Thank You Raymund. I got mine just about the same time you got yours. I love my lift and use it a lot. Now that I am retired I plan on spending a lot of time on this car. Still, I figure it will take 3 or 4 years, if I'm lucky. Shoot, almost 2 years have gone by already, those don't count.

Kerry, The pictures you take and the sequencing is invaluable to those who are trying to restore thier cars! Thank you for sharing. That sedan was quite a bit worse than the mental picture I got when you originally described it! Great journey and super job my friend.
