Gene, are you meaning the double groove pulley balancer or the single groove version?

There's an outfit that advertises in every issue of Hemmings Motor News that they rebuild all balancers.

I understand you would prefer a new one, either NOS or reproduced. It's probably out there somewhere.

It seems to me it could not hurt to talk to the Hemmings advertiser.

They are re- doing a 51 for me right now. They re-did an R-2 Studebaker for me.
I'm having them build a dual pulley one based off the 51 balancer I sent them.

Unless you have new rubber discs on hand, there is nothing in them to "rebuild". Clean it, paint or powdercoat it (don't cook the whole thing, just the pulley part)polish up the belt groove so it doesn't eat belts and, Ta Da! Rebuilt.
Bad news is that if you disassemble it, there's a
fair likelihood that you'll tear the thin rubber discs since they tend to be stuck to the main body from years of being squished in there. Unless there's some reason to believe that it's defective (looseness between hub and body), don't take it apart.
